Here are a few things that you may find helpful:
We are an inclusive church which means we welcome, affirm and celebrate all people without reservation in the life of our church.
Worship is at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. Some people choose to get dressed up and others have a more casual style. Whatever you are comfortable wearing will be fine. Come as you are! and we are requesting masks to be worn in the building if you are unvaccinated.
Sunday School for grades K-6 is at 10:15 am, after beginning worship with the adults. Children will be escorted by at least two adult teachers either upstairs to the Sunday School room, or into the large room adjoining the Sanctuary, called the Chapel.
We are a child friendly church! Wiggles and giggles are welcomed. Upon request, we can provide nursery care, which is staffed with Safe Sanctuary trained volunteers each Sunday morning for our littlest ones (birth up to those entering Kindergarten). Although you are welcome (and even encouraged) to have your children with you in worship, you may feel comfortable utilizing the nursery. If you have a fussy child, you can also use the rocking chair at the back of the Sanctuary.
The entrance to the parking lot is located on East Fourth Street. In addition, you can park on the streets surrounding the church (Utica, East Third, and East Fourth Streets). We have handicapped parking spots available on Utica and Fourth Streets. You can enter by the ramp on East Fourth Street or by the stairs on Utica Street. You will be greeted at the door with a bulletin and a smile by our Sunday morning greeters. Sit wherever you choose. No one owns any of the pews.
Worship is about an hour or so long. We celebrate Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday of every month and on special occasions. All are welcome at the Table. You are more than welcome to pick up your child and bring them back to the sanctuary to receive communion together. We also offer gluten free for those who would like it.
Coffee Hour, is held in the large room next to the Sanctuary after Sunday services, where we enjoy fellowship with one another over a cup of coffee/tea and a few snacks.
We hope this information has been helpful and we hope to see you soon! Please don’t hesitate to call the church office or email us if you have any questions at all!
